Eli N. Gardiner (1939-2008)
Began his career as a musician at the age of 16. His band, The Five Brown Boys became the first Filipino band to perform internationally. It was the success of his band that inspired Eli to help Filipino talents enter the world stage.
His faith in his fellow Filipinos as global workers paved the way for the 45 year old, multi-awarded land based agency, the Eligardi Enterprises, Inc. Through his vision, his company has become one of the pillars of the industry. His management expertise and genuine concern for the welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers was recognized by former President Joseph Estrada and thus, named him as the Administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) from 1998-2001.
